i have a white 16GB iPhone 3G. So i put it in my dock, iTunes came up on my MacBook like it normally does, then the iPhone restarted a white screen came up for about 25 seconds then an Apple came up, then the connect to iTunes symbol came up on the Phone. I was puzzled as to why this had happened since i’m extremely careful & certainly would not ever jailbreak it, because its against Apple’s EULA. So i click restore expecting everything to work, then I get something like “iTunes cannot connect to the iPhone “iPhone” an unknown error accrued error 21. Then i put it in DUF mode, the screen went white again, I was looking pleased as it looked like the firmware was installing then that failed & now its displaying error code 2001, what shall I do.
i only got the Phone on 27th December 2008

iTunes 10 Error Windows 7 64bit?

I have tried it all, no matter what i do it doesn’t work. I tried to open iTunes today but it was giving me .dll errors. So i tried to repair it, then uninstalled it. This is what has lead me to my problem! Now i try to reinstall and i get 4 errors? They are all in the UNKNOWN/Component part of reg-edit. So i went to reg-edit, and found those codes, then changed it all to full access and all that stuff. I am running the only account on my PC, admin. I have tried the Windows Installer Cleanup, read forums and other links to sites, but nothing works! Boy i wish i had a mac, i wouldn’t have to deal with this junk!

If i were you, i’d uninstall iTunes (if you reinstalled it) and make sure there are no iTunes files in your program files or program files (x86) folders. Then, you can try using a registry cleaner to remove erroneous entries. I recommend Eusing Free Registry Editor (been using it for years). Try to install after that.

Well i upgraded my ipod touch 2g mc to 4.0 thinking i would try it out i knew that i have 3.1.2 shsh files on cydias server … so after the upgrade in itunes 9.2.0.63 or itunes 9.2.0 i tried 4.0 out for 2 days decided that i liked it and downgraded back to 3.1.2 and made a custom firmware in sn0wbreeze 1.7 and then used ibooty to prepare device for custom firmware and all that upgraded to custom firmware then booted with ibooty and got used to it .. but now i am noticing that some of my favourite jailbroken apps are not working with 4.0 yet so i wanted to downgrade but i had upgraded to the new itunes 9.2.1 and it was coming up and alerting me that i cannot downgrade because of a unknown error 3194 (how stupid is itunes it says it is a unknow error and then gives you a code to teel you how to fix it) so today 10 minutes before i decided to write this question i download the itunes 9.2.0.62 and tried to downgrade but have the smae error … Please Help

Thanks heaps chris best answer .. i figured that there is a site that you go to so you can jailbreak directly from jour device … have you upgrade to 4.0 if you have i strongly reccomend that you go to www.jailbreakme.com and then test the jailbrake out and if you like it you keep it and if you dont just do a stock restore

You can not downgrade. With jailbreaking you have to wait for the upgrade for you jailbreaking software before yo upgrade your ipod or iPhone. You can see if cydias has a upgrade. I have never jailbroken my iPhone, but I do know somethings for it. But you can’t downgrade til the upgrade for cydias
